Setting up SuiteDocs Security

The system administrator, who has rights to all of SuiteDocs' functionality, sets up the security structure for your installation as described below.

  1. Create User Groups - System rights are determined at the group level.  These rights give or restrict access to the various features of SuiteDocs.  For each group created the rights are configured via a selection menu.  Access to the electronic file cabinets are also determined at the group level.

  2. Add Users - Users are the individuals in your organization who will use SuiteDocs.

  3. Assign the Users to User Groups - Users can belong to more than one user group.  The rights of a individual user are the sum of all the rights of the User Groups to which the user is assigned.

Click on the User Groups button!

The following screen appears showing the default groups, "Everyone" and "Trusted_Users."  These groups are built into SuiteDocs and cannot be removed.  The group, "Everyone," as its name implies, contains all users.  Members of the group "Trusted_Users" have administrative rights - they can access all of SuiteDocs' features.
