Boston Centerless deploys SuiteDocs to Manage, Control and Retrieve Certs Boston Centerless is an industry leader in supplying precision ground bar materials and grinding services, specializing in extremely close tolerances. Boston Centerless buys mill runs directly from suppliers and warehouses the materials in bulk maintaining all material certificates (certs) in-house. Customers often call Boston Centerless for a copy of the original material certificate to meet contractual obligations. This could be days, weeks, months, even years after the order was shipped. Boston Centerless had maintained a manual retrieval system that worked at first but as the number of customers increased, it sometimes took days to find and retrieve the proper certificate. With SuiteDocs a cert can be located in seconds and retrieved for printing, emailing or FAXing. How is this possible?—SuiteFactory’s end user configurable “Search Criteria” and powerful search engine feature enables Boston Centerless to locate any cert document in the SuiteFactory database by specifying one or more of the several custom criteria they configured when setting up SuiteDocs for the first time. For example, they can search by Vendor Name, Material, Heat Number or Purchase Order Number or any “AND/OR” combination of those criteria. SuiteDocs lets you import computer files of any kind into the database. Boston Centerless has chosen to scan in all of their paper certs using Adobe Acrobat software which creates Portable Document Format (PDF) files. You can use any type of file, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, text, any graphic files from GIF and JPG to DWG and DFX. Files can be viewed, edited and manipulated using Windows native applications or by using SuiteFactory’s 3rd party tools feature where you can “check out” documents for edit and open them with the proper application.
